In CI engines combustion chambers are mainly classified into two types:- Direct-ignition chamber (where ignition takes place directly on Pistons head) The air enter and mixed with fuel and ignition take place inside the CC, hot gases escape through the exit of the CC and strike the turbine blade.Combustion chamber design is an important factor in an engine's particulate emission. Designers can make use of air motion turbulence at the piston and cylinder wall to prevent fuel impingement The combustion chamber of a gas turbine is where the energy that drives the whole system is added. The combustion chamber is responsible for supplying the energy which drives the system. For a turbine, the combustion chamber operates with periodical combustion and the space, where the combustion takes place is closed on the exhaust side leading to the actual turbine. The combustion section houses the combustion process, which raises the temperature of the air passing through the engine. This process releases energy contained in the air/ fuel mixture. The major part of this energy is required at the turbine or turbine stages to drive the compressor. The combustion chamber of a gas-turbine engine is most often part of the engine; it may be annular, cannular, or tubular. Continuous-operation combustion chambers are major elements in aerospaceengines and specialized and transportation gas-turbine assemblies, which are widely used...

combustion chamber — i. The section of the gas turbine engine into which fuel is injected and burned. The combustion results in very high temperatures, which expands combustion chamber — chamber within an engine in which ignition of fuel takes place … English contemporary dictionary.A combustion chamber, also known as a firing chamber, is the chamber of a rocket engine in which the fuel and the oxidizer burn to produce high pressure gas expelled from the engine nozzle to provide thrust. To begin with, the fuel and oxidizer pass separately through a complex manifold in which each...Answer: c Explanation: Turbine expansion takes place in stages. One stage comprises of a Row of stationary blades followed by a row of moving blades. Answer: b Explanation: As gas with high pressure enters the combustor with high velocities, for continuous combustion, the combustor in...gas turbine engine. This process has now been inconceivable without the use of computer technology and. mathematical models at all stages of the design. One of the most difficult for the design of the engine components is the combustion chamber (CC), which takes into account the development of...

Which of the following takes place in the combustion chamber of a gas turbine engine?

Which of the following takes place in the combustion chamber of a gas turbine engine?

A. Fuel oil is mixed with a proper portion of compressed air.

B. Gases are cooled to a desired temperature.

C. A mixture of gasoline oil and compressed air is ignited.

D. Fuel oil is stored with sufficient pressure.

The thing is I got the paragraph in entrance of me but it lists all of these choices. It's so complicated. Please help.

The paragraph says:

Fuel oil from the pump oils furnished to the oil-burning chamber, where its combined with some of the compressed air from the pipe. This mixture is then ignited and burned in the chamber. The leisure o the compressed air is led thru and air passage to the combustion chamber. In the combustion chamber, the air mixes with gaseous merchandise of combustion and cools these gases to a suitable temperature to be used on the turbine wheel.

Help is favored.

Thanks once more.
